it was my first day at a canary today. the whole canary was filled with brown folks. there were some mexicans and one asian lady but other than that, it was like a mela.

there were a lot of young guys their; highschool kids, college students, uncles and mean aunties.

this old supervisor uncle said that i need to wear a beard net and i was cool with it. after a while i looked around and realized that there isnt a single young brown guy wearing a dastar, parna or patka. there were these old uncles wearing turban but they all had trimmed beards.

i dont wanna sound like a Jehovah witness or one of those preachy Christians but we Sikhs are loosing our identity. 

im in no position to preach; im like the worst sikh ever. Baba Nanak probably looks down at me and says “this singh needs to get his shit together and head down the right path” but come on people!!

WHY IN THE FUCKIN HELL ARE WE GETTING AWAY FROM OUR IDENTITY?
